Updates and issues
What to do if you’re having issues signing in to your account
Always sign in to your account through the APR Portal page and not the IRCC secure account, which is for applicants.
Please note that users are sometimes redirected to the IRCC homepage when the transaction between GCKey and the APR Portal loads too slowly. If you’re redirected to the IRCC homepage, clear your browser history, cache and cookies and try again on the APR Portal page. If you clear your browser history, cache and cookies and still can’t access your APR Portal account, try logging in using a different browser (such as Edge, Chrome, Firefox or Safari).
If you’re still having technical issues with the APR Portal, contact us using the web form.
- Under Type of application/enquiry, choose Technical difficulties from the drop-down menu.

Do not submit an online application if you or your client have already submitted a paper application. Duplicate applications will cause delays.
It takes up to 5 days for online applications to appear in your account
After we receive your application, it may take up to 5 days for you to see it in your account. We are working to shorten this wait time. If your application does not appear after 5 days, contact us and report a technical problem. This issue will not delay the processing of your application.
