What we’ve done
We’ve welcomed over 40,000 vulnerable Afghans, including some of the most vulnerable, through several special measures and programs.
What happens now
We’ll continue to process the existing applications we’ve received through all the special programs for Afghans on a priority basis.
If you applied after receiving an invitation to apply (ITA) from us
You can update your information by:
- contacting the nearest visa office outside Canada (include your file number in all correspondence with us)
- using our web form
- calling us at +1-613-321-4243
If you didn’t receive an invitation to apply (ITA) from us
We’ll continue to help vulnerable Afghans through:
- our regular immigration programs, such as economic, family reunification and refugee resettlement programs
- other options and pathways, such as the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot.
