How to access pension benefits and services in MSCA
To access pension benefits and services in My Service Canada Account (MSCA), you must register or sign in to MSCA.
Once registered or signed in, select the "Canada Pension Plan/Old Age Security" button on the MSCA welcome page.

How to view information about your application
View your application status
Select "Application status" to view messages about your CPP, CPP disability benefits or OAS application status.
View your payment information
Select "Payment information" to view payment details. You can print an official proof of payment report of your CPP, CPP disability benefits and OAS benefits. You will be able to view your payment information for the current and last 2 years.
Note: OAS recipients will only be able to view their most recent payment. Contact OAS for a copy of your past payment information.
View your estimated CPP benefits
If you have contributed to the CPP, you can view your estimated monthly CPP benefits by selecting "Estimated monthly CPP benefits".
Delay receiving your OAS/GIS pension after receiving a notification letter of automatic enrolment
You can delay your OAS/GIS pension by selecting "Delay receiving my OAS pension" and follow the directions".
Request your child-rearing provision
If you have applied or are receiving a CPP retirement pension or CPP disability benefits, you may request the child-rearing provision by selecting "Request my child-rearing provision".
How to update your personal information
Update your banking information Currently unavailable
To change your banking information and select the date you want the change to take effect, select "Direct deposit".
Once you have made the change and received confirmation, you may use the link at the bottom of the page to view your changes right away.
You can share your direct deposit banking information between the CPP and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
Note: It can take up to 30 days for changes to your banking information to take effect. To ensure your next payment is sent to your new account, give us your new banking information at least 30 days before your payment date.
It is not possible to change the information for foreign direct deposit online. To change your direct deposit, contact us to speak with one of our agents over the phone.
Update your address Currently unavailable
To change your address and select the effective date, select "Address".
Once you made the change and received confirmation, you may use the link at the bottom of the page to view your changes right away.

Update your telephone number
To view, change or delete your home, work, and mobile telephone numbers, select "Telephone number".
Update your name, marital status or date of birth
You can’t make this type of update on MSCA. Contact us by phone to speak with one of our agents. They can tell you how to update this information.
Give consent for someone to communicate on your behalf
To view, add, change and/or delete an authorized person who has your consent to communicate with Service Canada about your CPP, CPP disability or OAS account, select "Give consent for someone to communicate with CPP/OAS on my behalf".
How to submit and view your documents online
Submit supporting documents for CPP disability
You can upload supporting documents for a CPP disability application by selecting "Upload documents".
This service is only available for:
- Disability pension
- Post-retirement disability benefit
- Request for reconsideration for CPPD
Submit a declaration of attendance at school or university
Students aged 18 to 25 who are renewing their children’s benefit are now able to submit their proof of enrolment by signing into or registering for MSCA.
To submit your request online:
- sign in or register to MSCA
- navigate to the "Canada Pension Plan / Old Age Security" section
- select "Submit Declaration of attendance at school or university"
Submit a request for reconsideration of a decision
If you disagree with a decision about your pension application, you can ask Service Canada to reconsider.
To submit your request online:
- sign in or register to MSCA
- navigate to the "Canada Pension Plan / Old Age Security" section
- navigate to the "If you disagree with a decision" section
- select "Ask Service Canada to reconsider" under "Step 1"
Submit an appeal to the Social Security Tribunal of Canada
If you disagree with a new reconsideration decision from Service Canada, you can appeal it to the Social Security Tribunal (SST). The SST is an independent administrative tribunal. It’s separate from Service Canada.
To appeal to the SST online:
- sign in or register to MSCA
- navigate to the "Canada Pension Plan / Old Age Security" section
- navigate to the "If you disagree with a decision" section
- select "Appeal to the SST" under "Step 2"
View your CPP Statement of Contributions
The online printed version of your Statement of Contributions is considered a legal document. You may request to have your Statement of Contributions mailed to you by selecting "CPP contributions" or by contacting CPP.
How to get your tax slips online
Tax slips
If you received CPP/OAS benefits in the last 6 years, you can view and print your tax slips (T4A(P), T4A(OAS) and NR4) by selecting "Tax slips". Your online tax slip is an official document. You can attach it to your income tax return.
Mailing options
You can choose to receive your tax slips electronically or by mail by selecting "Tax slip mailing options".
Federal voluntary tax deductions
To view, start, change or stop a federal voluntary tax deduction, select "Federal voluntary tax deductions for CPP/OAS".
Once you have completed the change, you will be able to view your:
- estimated gross amount
- federal voluntary tax deduction
- estimated net monthly payment after deduction
