Our project will focus on strengthening youth resilience, particularly important in a community hit disproportionately hard by the impacts of Covid-19. Our project will incorporate a learning component, where we will teach youth with leadership skills in their particular placements.
By including multiple placements within Ajax and in the surrounding area, we will further our participation in social service projects that benefit low-income and diverse communities. By doing so, we offer concrete results for communities such as Ajax. We will allow diverse youth to interact with other peers, as well as community members through their placements. This will enable participants to experience personal growth, and improve their teamwork and communication skills
The Canada Service Corps (CSC) promotes civic engagement among young people from
15 to 30 years old through access to meaningful volunteer service placements that help
them gain essential life skills and experience.
