CSC funding opportunities

Apply for Canada Service Corps funding and contribute to building a culture of service amongst Canadian youth.

Organizations interested in contributing to a national movement of service can apply for funding through a CSC Call for Proposals.

The last Call for Proposals closed in December 2023.

Apathy is Boring is a non-partisan, charitable organization that supports and educates young people to be active and contributing citizens in Canada’s democracy. Their vision is a Canada where every young Canadian is an active citizen, and youth are meaningfully engaged in all aspects of the democratic process.

Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF)
Kanata, Ontario

The Canadian Wildlife Federation’s mission is to conserve and inspire the conservation of Canada’s wildlife and habitats for the use and enjoyment of all. They engage over 575,000 people and reach over 2.5 million each year who join them in working from coast to coast to maintain something very important — a bright future for Canada’s wildlife.

Chantiers jeunesse is a non-profit organization created in 1980 to foster the development of young, active, and socially engaged citizens while encouraging community development. Through their projects, young people increase their potential and gain new skills.

Victoria International Development Education Association (VIDEA)
Victoria, British Columbia

VIDEA strengthens the environment where youth and communities, globally, have access to the education, skills and support necessary to take feminist leadership in developing their own sustainable solutions to gender equality, environment, Indigenous and human rights violations and injustice. VIDEA strives to support and inspire others, especially Indigenous, and underrepresented youth, to better understand global issues, and issues of oppression, discrimination, systemic sexism and colonialism, and to use their power and voice, towards more just communities. Their work integrates intersectionality, gender and climate justice throughout, centering the needs, experiences, and leadership of those most impacted by inequality, discrimination and oppression. They are more than a feminist organisation, they are a women’s organisation. As a feminist, women’s organisation, VIDEA aims to create the conditions where the voices of those who identify as women, girls, gender-diverse, and 2SLGBTQ+, and those with additional barriers, are brought to the centre of conversations.

Ability Online

Ability Online provides a holistic and innovative model of support for helping vulnerable youth and young adults with disabilities or health challenges to reduce social isolation and increase inclusion. Their supportive and safe online community fosters positive attitudes, builds self-esteem, and inspires involvement which contributes to emotional health and wellness.

GLOCAL Foundation of Canada
Ottawa, Ontario

GLOCAL is a national not-for-profit organization that promotes civic awareness through local engagement and global understanding in Canada. They currently have offices in Ottawa, Vancouver and Winnipeg. The four pillars of their activities are youth engagement, digital civic engagement, accessibility of civic information, and knowledge mobilization. The goal of their digital initiatives and community outreach is to improve the infrastructure and accessibility of public information, in an effort to combat misinformation, information overload, and low-information rationality in the digital age.

Broad Reach Canada fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion by supporting under-represented youth in their positive development of knowledge, skills and social belonging. They use sailing and tall ship sail training to achieve these objectives.

About the Canada Service Corps

The Canada Service Corps (CSC) promotes civic engagement among young people from 15 to 30 years old through access to meaningful volunteer service placements that help them gain essential life skills and experience.
