Common uses
You might need to provide proof of income to a bank, a government, or others when you apply for
- a loan
- to qualify for a benefit or subsidy
- or for other reasons that require proof of finances
How to get one
- Online:

Get a proof of income statement in My Account by selecting “Proof of income statement” from the “Tax returns” tab.
Online copy does not have the section 241 stamp, but the information is being released at the request of an authorized individual in accordance with Section 241 of the Income Tax Act.

Order a copy of a proof of income statement to be mailed to you. It can take up to 10 days to receive by mail.
