Polar Knowledge Canada at the ArcticNet Annual Scientific Meeting 2022
This year's ArcticNet Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) is taking place from December 5-9 at Beanfield Centre in Toronto. Jennifer C. Hubbard, our President and CEO; David Hik, our Chief Scientist and Executive Director of Programs, and other members of the POLAR team will attend.
If you will be at ArcticNet, you should attend the Canada-Inuit Nunangat-United Kingdom (CINUK) Annual Science Meeting, where attendees will learn more about the 13 funded projects.

Yukon Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation Call for Proposals 2023-26
We opened a call for proposals for Yukon-based projects advancing knowledge on climate change impacts and adaptation strategies. The submission deadline is January 20, 2023.
POLAR-GNWT partnership offers new funding for caribou research
In collaboration with the Government of the Northwest Territories, we are offering new funding for research on declining caribou herds. The submission deadline is January 16, 2023.
Polar Knowledge Canada Fellowship Program
This year, we launched a new fellowship program to help strengthen northern-based research. The Polar Knowledge Canada (POLAR) Fellowship ($50,000) supports post-doctoral and visiting research fellows at a northern institution, whose work aligns with our Science and Technology Goals. The submission deadline is Monday, January 16, 2023.
Presentation of the Northern Science Award 2022
The Northern Science Award honours those who have made a significant contribution to meritorious knowledge and understanding of the Canadian North. The 2022 award will be presented on December 8 at the ArcticNet Annual Scientific Meeting.
CHARS research support
If you plan to conduct research at the CHARS between July 1 and October 31, 2023, you need to submit your completed request by Friday February 17, 2023.
