Canada Book Fund
The Canada Book Fund (CBF) ensures access to a diverse range of Canadian-authored books nationally and internationally, by fostering a strong book industry that publishes and markets Canadian-authored books.
The CBF has three components – Support for Booksellers, Support for Organizations (with one special initiative), and Support for Publishers (with two sub-components).
You can consult the Evaluation of the Canada Book Fund for years 2012-2013 to 2017-2018.
Support for Booksellers
The Support for Booksellers component will provide two years of support for the costs associated with online sales, including shipping costs, and help Canadian booksellers improve their business model for online sales. Funding will be allocated based on past sales of Canadian-authored books.
